It’s now more than forty five days since Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the federal high court, abuja, ordered the unconditional release of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife.
The Federal Government is yet to abide with the Court order.
This prompted his followers, to lead a peaceful protest to the National Human Rights Commission to lay their grievances on the continued detention of their leader, even after the court order.
They described his continuous detention, as illegal and unconstitutional, and an infringement of his fundamental human rights.
The Acting Executive Secretary, in her reply, praised the group for their peaceful protest, while promising them that the commission, would look into the matter.
