Priscilla Anany’s debut feature, “Children of the Mountain” is set for its American release.
The film that stars Rukiyat Masud tells the story of a yam merchant and her journey through motherhood and acceptance.
It will make its American debut on the 20th of December.

“Children of the Mountain” won the “Best New Narrative Director” Award at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.
It also won the audience award at the Film Africa festival in the UK.
