The management of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), has described the ongoing protest of the unions, which demand the resignation of the Vice Chancellor , as unnecessary and a bid to preempt the laws of the land.

He stated that the Vice Chancellor and Bursar of the university had appeared before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over various allegations leveled against them, adding that the anti graft agency has commenced investigation on the allegation.
The University don advised aggrieved workers of the university to wait till the EFCC concludes its investigations on the matter.
