TVC E. Akinwunmi Ambode, the Governor of Lagos State earlier today spoke on #YourViewTVC about the BRT Maryland mayhem.
“Both buyers and sellers in traffic will pay a fine of N90,000 or face a jail term. Over 49 buses were destroyed and these will cost 139 million to fix.” He said.
He said, ”the law does not support hawking, what we need to do is map out a way out for them.”

The governor, who served as a civil servant for 27 years and a financial consultant before running for public office as Governor of Lagos State, has said he is trying his best to give the citizens of Lagos State the best.
The Governor continued by saying, ”the role of the local government concerning bad roads can only be done by the taxes we pay, if there are bad roads in your neighbourhood, make sure you visit the local government because it is their duty to fix it using funds from tax payed”.
When asked on how he mentors other states to benefit from Lagos State, he said it is not in his hands and cannot mentor other states, as it will mean vying into tasks that cannot be finished.
