The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal is unhappy with perceived delay tactics being employed by the defense counsel in the on-going trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki.
The tribunal chairman was reacting to the prosecution’s observation, and noted that Saraki would face the full consequences of the charges of false assets declaration leveled against him.
But Saraki’s counsel, Kanu Agabi told the tribunal that he and his client were worried over assumed prejudices
Prosecution witness Micheal Wetkas told the tribunal under cross examination that Saraki was never investigated by the EFCC on the ownership of two properties in Abuja which he allegedly failed to declare.
The case has been adjourned to June the fifteenth.
