Today, June 12, 2016 marks the second year anniversary of the death of late gospel singer, Kefee Obareki Don Momoh who died of lung failure in a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday, June 12, 2014 after being in coma for 15 days.
The popular singer born Irikefe Obareki, was eventually buried on July 11, 2014 in her native Delta State.
Until her death two years ago, which was devastating and sudden for fans and colleagues, Kefee was an award winning Nigerian musician born in Sapele, Delta State to the family of Andrew Obareki.
Kefee graduated from University of Benin with a degree in Business Administration and in 2000, released an album titled Trip which went a long way in paving the way for her as far as the Nigerian music scene in concerned.
In 2003, she got signed to Alec’s Entertainment, a record label founded by her former choir director and subsequently released the album containing her unforgettable smash hit tune, ‘Branama’ which was named after the single, shortly afterwards.
Kefee was married twice before her death; she was married to Alec Godwin, her former choir director and producer for three years until 2008.
However, she got married to popular radio host, Teddy Esosa Don-Momoh on March 3, 2013 in Delta state.
