TVC E. It is no news that President Muhammadu Buhari was scheduled to travel
to the Niger Delta region to commission the process of cleaning up the Ogoni land on the 2nd of June 2016 but appointed his Vice instead. Some Nigerians are still not comfortable with his action as Julian presumed Buhari has an ear infection.

According to Naij.com, It was reported that Juliana Okon lists three probable reasons why President Buhari will be represented by his vice Yemi Isinbajo.

It was also stated that the president cancelled his trip to the state. While, no official reason was given for the cancellation of the visit, it followed threats by Niger Delta militants on the life of the leader of the nation.

Julian Okon stated that, ” though the presidency is yet to issue an official statement, we already know that President Muhammadu Buhari will not be attending the flag off ceremony for the cleaning of Ogoni land in Rivers state.”
Julian listed 3 likely reasons why the president was not in Ogoni land:
1. He’s afraid of the Niger Delta Avangers The Niger Delta Avangers reportedly threatened to kill the president if he dares step foot in Ogoni land. Is the Commander in Chief of Nigeria’s Armed Forces scared of a raggedy militant group?
2. The trip was never in his itinerary We all know that President Buhari hates local trips. In over one year in office, the president has only visited 4 Nigerian states.
