Efforts by the legal team in the Oyo State Ministry of Justice to quash the one count murder charge levelled against Yewande Oyediran, a lawyer accused of killing her husband, suffered a setback at the State High Court in Ibadan.
Trial Judge Justice Munta Abimbola Ladipo in his ruling on the preliminary objection brought by the accused, held that the suspect will not be prejudiced by the one count charge.
It was on this ground that the court ordered the suspect to take her plea at the dock.
Meanwhile, Convener of the Women Arise initiative Joe-Okei Odumakin has called for the speedy trial of the judicial inquiry into the case .
She says this would serve as a deterrent to those harboring criminal intent.
