INEC recruits 25,000 Ad-Hoc staff for Rivers re-run elections

TVC E, POLITICS – About 25 thousand ad-hoc staff are expected to participate in March the 19th re-run elections into state and federal constituencies in Rivers state.

This is according to the state INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Aniedi Ikoiwak who spoke in an exclusive interview with TVC News in an exclusive interview.

The INEC commissioner said personnel for the elections would be recruited from federal agencies and federal tertiary institutions only.

Voting is expected to take place in 4442 polling units across the 32 local government areas of the state.

INEC has carved out about 1000 voting points to ease up the process from polling units with large voting population.

Meanwhile,the electoral body has warned that any of its official found wanting would be dismissed.

The Rivers state INEC resident electoral commissioner revealed that the distribution of non-sensitive
materials have commenced in 315 Registration Area centres.
That of sensitive materials commence next week.
