Ikhana takes pay cut to coach 3SC

ikhana newFormer coach of Enyimba, Kadiri Ikhana, on Monday signed a deal to coach Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, after agreeing to take a pay cut.

Ikhana signed the deal after discussion with the Chairman of Oyo State House of Assembly Committee on Sports, Fatai Adesina, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Mrs. Lolade Agboola, General Manager of the club, Rashidi Balogun and the Chairman Oyo State Football Association, Chief James Odeniran.

The coach said he had a contract worth N1.8m in monthly salary with Enyimba last season and that he accepted N1.2m after he was persuaded to do so by the representatives of the state government and the club management. He opted to stay in a hotel instead of a house provided by the club.
