Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Odugade dead

TVC E, NEWS – The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1, has passed on.

Oba Odugade died on Tuesday evening after he reportedly lost consciousness.

The monarch, attained the age of 100 years in 2014 mounted the throne in 2007 as the 39th Olubadan of Ibadan land.

When contacted, one of his sons, Prof. Femi Lana, declined comments on the incident.

The Personal Assistant to the late monarch, Chief Isiaka Akinpelu, however denied the death, saying it was a rumour. He said Oba Odulana still ate yesterday, adding that he was hale and hearty.
