TVC E, WORLD NEWS – Kenya has deployed more soldiers to Somalia in its continuing search, rescue and recovery operation against the so-called Al-Shaabab militants.
The key mission for the Kenya Defence Forces is to annihilate the insurgents and destroy a military hardware that was looted from KDF camps during last week’s attack in El Adde.
Chief of Defence Forces, General Samson Mwathethe says the troops will reinforce several other soldiers currently engaging the militants in their hideouts near the Gedo and Baay regions.
The troops deployment comes two days after President Uhuru Kenyatta’s declaration that Kenyan soldiers would stay in Somalia until peace and stability is restored in the country.
