The 2016 Nigeria professional league season will be heralded by the Super 4 contest involving clubs who will represent Nigeria in continental competitions.
The competitions will be staged in the cities of Abuja and Uyo.
Abuja will host the first leg of the Super 4 between January the 20th and 24th, while Uyo will stage the second leg between February the 3rd and 7th.
All four clubs would have played six games against each other at the end of competition. Organisers say this will help them prepare adequately for matches in both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
League Champions Enyimba and runners-up Warri Wolves will feature in the Champions League, while cup holders Akwa United and Nasarawa United, who placed third in the league will represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
