TVC E, NEWS – The Ondo state Police command says it will investigate the alleged killing of two residents of Ilara-Mokin who were allegedly hit by stray bullets, while the police was trying to disperse protesters who barricaded Akure/Ilesha road .
Spokesman of the command, Femi Joseph who disclosed this while addressing reporters in Akure, said the command will not condone any act of lawlessness from members of the public.
TVC’s Ayodeji Moradeyo reports that Tuesday January 26, 2015 remains a day of grief for many residents of Ilara- Mokin.
It was a bloody day in the community following the killing of a resident of the community in an auto crash.
This resorted to a violent protest in the community and the blockage of Akure/ Ilesha road.

While trying to bring the situation under control, the police were attacked by the protesting youths nad this led to the death of two persons from stray bullets.
In view of this development, the police in the state are now investigating the matter.
Spokesman of the command, Femi Joseph says the command will do everything possible to unmask those behind the alleged killing.
He warned members of the public against taking law into their hands.
With this assurance and warning coming from the police, it is hoped that thorough investigation will be carried out into the matter.
