TVC E, SPORTS – Reports coming from the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF say Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has been queried over the unimpressive outing of the country at the ongoing CHAN tournament in Rwanda.
A Nigerian sports newspaper reports that the draft letter has been submitted to the Federation, in which the coach was asked to explain what was responsible for the team’s early exit from the competition.
The board members are said to be unhappy with Oliseh’s post-match comments that the CHAN Eagles lack motivation, going into the Guinea game.
Meanwhile, there are now talks of a possible sack of Sunday Oliseh after the Chairman, Nigerian Senate Committee on Sports, Obinna Ogba hinted that his Committee would support the decision to dismiss the gaffer if his employers so desire.
Ogba says he found it difficult to explain the team ouster from the CHAN tournament when his colleagues in the Senate asked him what happened.
He also questions the rationale for hiring Oliseh who according to him was not better and far below the standard of the former Eagles handler Stephen Keshi.
