In a video posted online, a man from Mandya in Southern India can be seen giving a rat his own verdict by strapping the rat to a bottle and beating it with a stick after it chewed up a phone charger.
He shows the severed cord of his charger to the rat and says:
‘Why did you bite this causing me a loss of eighty rupees (one pound). Will your father or mother pay me for the loss now?

As he continues to beat the rat, he accuses it of eating rice, tomatoes, and soap at his home.
As funny as the video may seem, it is been gathered that Indian animal rights activists are outraged after the video emerged earlier this month and have urged officials to trace the man and arrest him for cruelty towards animals.
Animal rights activist, Subhendu Mallik said:
‘While killing a mouse is not illegal, this kind of torture is unwarranted.’This is a crime under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960 and officials should act.’

It’s a bad attitudes to punishes any animals because, they are not man. They have low reasoning. In Islam it’s forbidden to keep animals without access to food. Does punishing that rat bring is phone back, or the rat will not eat the phone again? The best thing is to keep his environment clean from unwanted animals.
