After several weeks of backlash following the airing of Lifetime’s six-part Surviving R. Kelly documentary.
Chicago-born singer, R. Kelly has parted ways with Sony Music and its subsidiary label, RCA records, amid controversies surrounding his alleged acts of sexual abuse.
The arguable singer, who is dealing with one of a kind allegations of abduction, sexual abuse, and exploitation, become dropped via the report label on Friday.
However, it seems that the latest push from the #MuteRKelly campaign, which has urged the entertainment enterprise to cut ties with the artist, in addition to recent investigations into Kelly’s alleged abuse stemming from the Surviving R. Kelly document, may also have served as a catalyst for his latest release from the label’s roster.
