The Nigeria Police, Intelligence Response Team raided and arrested Suspects running a secret fake drug Factory hidden in the residential Area of No. 2, Okunnenye Street, Ikotun Egbe Area in Lagos State. The Factory, where the dangerous act was carried out would have caused several health complications, deaths and disabilities to many Nigerians who might have fell victim in purchasing this fake drugs Nationwide.
Hidden Fake Drug Factory Discovered, as Suspects were Arrested in Ikotun
It was reported that substantial production, packaging, and chemicals used in the production of these fake drugs were discovered alongside a vehicle that aids the distribution of the suspected fake drugs to different parts of the Country.
The hideout where the suspected fake drug is being illegally produced was raided on 13th December 2018 by Operatives of the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) led by the Commander of the Unit, DCP Abba Kyari where the suspects were arrested.
The suspects confessed to the crime and admitted to the various criminal roles they played in the processing, manufacturing, and packaging of suspected fake drug.
According to the Nigeria Police, the investigation is still on-going and efforts are being intensified to arrest the other suspects at large. All suspects will be arraigned in court on completion of the investigation.
