Afro beat musician, Seun Kuti the son of late veteran singer Fela Anikulapo Kuti has vowed never to buy expensive clothes for his kids again.
According to him, such clothes get to waste as soon as the kids outgrow them.
The afro-beat singer believe that celebrities and rich people tend to spend a lot of money on clothing that is identified with popular brand name.
Seun Kuti also made a point saying, the choice of what to buy and how much to spend on our attires based on brands and their branding still has the same implications as slavery.
This in essence is trying to promote the locally made clothes done in Nigeria. It’s common that most people buy clothes based on the BIG name brands and tend to look at local made products as low quality. Seun has however stated that he’s never going to buy expensive clothes for his kids. His reasons? See below:
