22 passengers saved from plunging into Lagos lagoon

Tragedy was averted on the Third Mainland Bridge in the early hours of Wednesday, June 13th 2018.

It happened when a Volkswagen LT bus containing 22 Passengers plying the bridge somersaulted.

The vehicle was only saved from plunging into the Lagoon by the crash barrier on the bridge.

Members of the Rapid Response Squad and LRU responded swiftly and had a hectic time attending to the 22 passengers of the bus who sustained varied degrees of injuries.

The First Aid knowledge of officers of the rapid Response Squad was helpful as they joined medical workers in administering aid on victims.
