Super Eagles and DR Congo’s friendly match ends in a draw

The international friendly match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and DR Congo ended with a 1-1 draw.

The game which was hosted by the Super Eagles at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, kicked off at 5:00PM Nigerian time.

Super Eagles starting lineup which had the likes Onazi, Etebo, Iheanacho, Ekong and others wasn’t really a difficult game for the Eagles.

Super Eagles had a lead point after Ogenyo Onazi chipped a free kick towards Kelechi Iheanacho who made a rough pass for Trost Ekong to score.

Before the start of the second half, the Super Eagles made major changes with Alex Iwobi replacing Iheanacho, Ola Aina went in for Elderson Echiejile and Joel Obi was substituted for Mikel Obi.

Congo slowly advanced into the game and at the 78 minutes, Ngulubi who converted a penalty after Aina fouled a Congo player.

It was a send-off game for the Super Eagles who will jet out to London on Tuesday for their friendly game against England in Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
