Eden Hazard has urged his “sad” Chelsea team-mates to pick themselves up and rescue their season after the club’s latest slip-up in the Premier League.
The Premier League champions were winning their London derby clash against West Ham on Sunday courtesy of Cesar Azpilicueta’s 36th-minute goal but later conceded a goal in the 73rd minute to draw 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have only won three Premier League matches in 2018, and now sit 10 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham in the race for a Champions League spot.
Hazard has called on his teammates to “work together” and get back to winning ways so they can end the season on a high.
speaking on the poor performance of his team-mates, told Chelsea website:
“When you see the game we did everything, especially in the first half,” Hazard told Chelsea’s website.
“This season isn’t going well, we made some mistakes and conceded a goal. Then, in front of goal we didn’t score, so that’s it, at the end of the game it’s 1-1 and we are all sad.
“We need to work together. There are six games left to play in the league and we will try everything to be in the top four at the end of the season.”
