Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has been out of action since April, is hoping to follow up his brief appearance against Newcastle with his first start of the season.
Ibrahimovic who came on for the last 13 minutes of United’s 4-1 win, was expected to be ruled out of action until January 2018 but the 36-year-old defied the odds by making a return at the weekend.
Mourinho may now choose to include Ibrahimovic in his line up against Basle as Ibrahimovic arrived at Manchester Airport earlier with his team-mates on Tuesday.
Paul Pogba, who played 70 minutes of United’s 4-1 win over Newcastle, on his return from injury has also travelled to Switzerland along with Marcos Rojo.
Rojo also suffered a cruciate ligament injury but was an unused substitute on Saturday so will also be hoping to be given minutes by Mourinho.
There was no sign of injured trio Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Michael Carrick at the airport while full backs Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia appear to have been given a rest.
The Red Devils will qualify for the knockout stages with a draw in Switzerland, while they will also progress if CSKA fail to win.
