Actor and former Mr Nigeria, Emmanul Ikubese took to Instagram this morning to slam OAP Freeze over his opinion on tithing.
He shared videos attacking Freeze for insisting that Pastors are getting rich through tithe paying by their church members, arguing that he should rather spend his energy speaking about other things that matter.

THIS ISSUE OF TITHING: OPEN LETTER TO FREEZE FROM PASTOR MELCHISEDEC BANKOLE.
-God is a Spirit who can only be worship by faith, not by mental assent.
-It take the Spirit to understand the scriptures, not intellectual analysis.
-Your research on tithe is commendable but not accurate.
-If you will look through the old testament, you will find out there are two regimes of tithing; 1).Abrahamic regime, and 2). Regime of law.
-In Abrahamic regime, two people were recorded to pay tithe(10%), are you aware of this?
In Regime of law, there are 3 types of tithing.
-Cummulatively, it was 30%, and not 10%, are you also aware of this too?
-For the word of God to be profitable, it must be balanced, otherwise, there is a very high risk of leading people into error.
-Freeze, you are leading people into error!
-Your error1: You are saying tithe shld be paid under the terms of the law by giving tithe to the poor, orphans, etc.
– There is no place in the bible where the whole tithed farm produce were given to the need. In the regime of the law, tithe of farm produce was not even given directly to the poor, but every 3 years, tithe(farm produce) was used to feed the strangers, Levites, & the needy; poor, orphans, widows(Duet14:28-29); are you aware of these facts?
-James1:27, God delights in those who cater for the needy, they are rewarded by God, but it must be done in line with God’s standard, and not FREEZE’S assumptions.

-You shld set aside money for the poor but not your tithe.
-This is no more applicable in the time of grace; why are we making so much noise about it?
-Shall we then ignore the needy till after every 3 years(if we go by the emphasis on giving the tithe to the needy)?
-To give your tithe to the poor in this dispensation of grace brings you under the curse of the law bcos if you are guilty of one, you are guilty of all(James 2:10-11).

-Yes, but according to the order of Melchizedek(the high priest) which is 10%(what is an ORDER?).
-FAQ3; Where should I pay my tithe?
-Jesus is your high priest who expresses himself through the church(the body of Christ).
-In the grace order(Heb7&8), your tithe must be giving to higher spiritual authority where you are fed with the living word of God, not the poor.
-Heb 7:6-7(read vs6);
vs7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
ATTENTION:
-The old covenant is a shadow of the new covenant; they are our examples but we are now under the grace.
-I do know that there are alot of pastors, evangelist, Reverend by mental assent who are preaching the word of God intellectually but there also alot of genuine men of God operating by the Spirit bcos “the letter killeth(2Cor 3:6)”.
-Preaching the letter like you do(Freeze) is error, and death.
-Freeze, preaching the word of God by mental assent is the greatest problem of the 21st century church, and that is why people like you are saying things too high for you.
