A member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives says forcing the legislature and the judiciary into the Treasury Single Account, TSA, will amount to a subversion of the principle of separation of powers.
Muhammadu Mungunu from Borno state, North East Nigeria says if allowed to stand, the TSA will muzzle the financial independence of the two arms of government.
The lawmaker insists the TSA is not backed by any law that compels other arms of government to adopt it.
