Former president of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan has sent his congratulatory messages to the home-based Super Eagles after qualifying for the 2018 CHAN tournament.
The home-based Eagles qualified for the 2018 African Nations Championship after an aggregate 2 – 1 win over West African rivals Benin republic.
In a post on Facebook, Ex president, Jonathan said he was confident they would qualify and riased the bar saying he was sure the team would win the tournament in Kenya next year.

“Go Super Eagles! Proud of you for qualifying for the next CHAN. I was not just confident you would qualify. I am also confident that you will emerge champions when the time comes. GEJ.”
