EFCC denies plot to arrest Deputy Senate President Ekweremadu

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has responded to the PDP Senator who raised an alarm over alleged plans by some people in the Presidency to arrest Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and former PDP governors.

The commission advised Ekweremadu to verify reports before making public allegations.

In a statement by its spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC said the senators’ allegation only exists in the imaginative mind of the person who informed the deputy senate president of the alleged plot.
