Nigeria’s reigning queen of the sprints Blessing Okagbare-Ighotegounor is looking ahead to the IAAF World championship in London this August.
This is after opening her 2017 season with victory in the 200m event at a meet in Lubbock, Texas.
The 2013 IAAF Worlds silver and bronze medalist ran unattached in the meet at Texas Tech University.
She coasted home in 22.87 seconds ahead of fellow unattached athletes McGrone who finished in 23.19secs and White in 23.52 secs.
The race officially opened her 2017 campaign after her absence at the IAAF World Relays in Nassau, the Bahamas last weekend.
