The League Management Company have sanctioned three Nigerian Professional League clubs- Kano Pillars, Katsina United and Remo Stars for violating several safety rules at match venues.
Kano Pillars fans attacked players and officials after their lost 1-nil at home to Akwa united last weekend. The incident has attracted a 7 million Naira fine and closure of their stadium to fans.
Remo Stars have also been fined 2.5 million Naira for failing to control their fans who harassed a referee and threw objects on the pitch during a match day 15 game.
The club has been punished with a suspended three-point deduction. They will also play their next three home matches behind closed doors.
Katsina United have been fined 2.5 million naira and a three -point deduction following crowd trouble which led to an attack on Enyimba players after both sides met last sunday.
The clubs have been given 48 hours to submit to the decisions of the LMC or appear before a commission.
