Actress Ego Boyo appointed as the 60th President of International Women’s Society

TVC E. Veteran Nollywood actress, Ego Boyo, was yesterday appointed as the 60th president of the distinguished society. The organisation founded in 1957 is an independent, non-political, non-governmental and non-profit organisation. Ego Boyo will be the 60th president of the distinguished society and will be invested at an event holding today, Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

According to a statement from IWS, “The event will showcase women who are doing extraordinary work and changing lives with a photography series and it also serves as a “call to arms” to young women to embrace charitable service whilst pursuing their careers.

Ego Boyo has been in Nollywood since the late 80s. The filmmaker became a household name following her character in the classic movie “Checkmate.”
