Marc Jacobs takes over a city sidewalk for his fall 2017 fashion show

Designer Marc Jacobs took over a Manhattan sidewalk to showcase his fall 2017 collection on the final day of New York Fashion Week: The Shows on Thursday (February 16).

Guests sat inside the Park Avenue Armory as models strolled passed and out the door to strut down the sidewalk before taking a seat on various folding chairs.

The show featured a collection of fur-trimmed tweed jackets, miniskirts, shimmery tops and oversized hats. Some looks were accessorized with gold chains and large hoop earrings.

Jacobs was inspired by the evolution of hip-hop, although music was only played once Jacobs appeared on the sidewalk.

After the show as the audience left, the models, still seated on the closed-off sidewalk, pulled out their cell phones and took photos.
