Fishermen in Lagos are calling on the federal government to assist in the provision of basic amenities that will improve their fishing occupation.
The members under the aegis of the Lagos state fishermen cooperative association in Ijede, Ikorodu, Lagos state said this during the inauguration of the newly elected executive body that they have the ability to boost the economy of Lagos and Nigeria in general.
Representatives of Government present at the occasion promised to look into every issue metioned by the fishermen so as to make fishing number one revenue earner even as the government fast-tracks the diversification of the economy
