The 2017 awards season has been the most politically charged in recent history in the wake of Donald Trump’s controversial first few weeks in office. But while many celebrities have voiced their opposition to the new US president, singer Joy Villa used the Grammys’ red carpet to show her support.
The 25-year-old made a strong political fashion statement, donning a red, white and blue dress emblazoned with Trump’s campaign slogan ‘Make America Great Again’.
The mermaid gown also featured the billionaire’s name in huge silver letters at the bottom.
Also vying for the night’s worst dressed award was CeeLo Green who arrived wearing what can only be described as some sort of C3PO tribute outfit. The singer and rapper donned a head-to-toe gold outfit, complete with mask which made him look like a gold-encrusted Michael Myers from horror film Halloween.
Grammy considered artist Girl Crush also hit a bum note as she turned up dressed as a giant ball pit.
