Navy disputes oil marketers’ claim of insecurity at ports

The Nigerian Navy has disputed claims by oil marketers that insecurity compels their ships to berth in neighbouring ports. The security outfit insists financial charges are responsible for the oil marketers’ action.

Members of the House of Reps Ad-hoc Committee on the Review of the Pump Price of Petrol, had sought explanation on the thrust of oil marketers’ submission, that insecurity is the bane of the operations of the import vessels.
