Nigerian government pays ex-militants two months salary

The Federal Government says it has paid part of the outstanding stipends owed former Niger Delta militants, under the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

According to the Leader of the 3rd phase of the amnesty programme Ramsey Mukoro, former militants have been given 2, out of their 4 months’ salary backlog.

The government says it would stop at nothing, until all ex-militants are properly integrated into the society with sustainable source of livelihood.
