Lagos House of Assembly okays death penalty for kidnappers

The Lagos state house of Assembly has passed into law a bill to stem the tide of kidnapping in the state.

The bill titled 2016 Anti-kidnapping Law now spelt out among other punishments,  death penalty for the perpetrators of the act.

The lawmakers are confident that the law which was initiated by the Speaker of the house will put an end to cases of kidnapping in the state.
