Lawmakers urge government to pay Falcons’ emolument

Federal legislators in the House of Representatives have condemned the non payment of allowances of the players and officials of the victorious Super Falcons.

With a standing ovation, the House commends what it calls the superlative performance of the team at the just concluded Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Championship in Cameroon where they lifted the trophy for an unprecedented eighth time.

In line with the prayers of the motion sponsored by Representative Ayo Omidiran, the lawmakers condemn the non payment of the team’s backlog of unpaid allowances and mandates its committee to ensure compliance with its resolution.
