TVC E. Residents of Ingobor village, Nakuru town in Kenya have been thrown into a state of shock as a 22 year old mother of two was hacked to death by her houseboy lover.
The houseboy was said to have been having an illicit affair with the married woman.
According to neighbors, the young man was said to have invited the mother of two to his house, it was then he did the unthinkable, he hacked her before attempting to take his own life.
According to Mogoon Sub-Location Police Assistant, Chief Josiah Rono, the woman and the suspect – who was working as the deceased’s houseboy, were involved in an illicit affair and had fallen out on the fateful day before the 23-year-old man brandished a panga (machete) and chopped off her head.
Mr Rono said he received a phone call from a member of Nyumba Kumi Security Initiative on Tuesday 6pm, informing him of the bloody incident. The woman’s husband, a casual labourer, was away from home at the time of the incident.
When Chief Rono arrived at the crime scene, he found a bloody panga placed next to the deceased. The administrator ordered the arrest of the suspect who fled after learning that neighbours were baying for his blood.
He was, however, arrested and is currently being held at Kaptembwo Police Station. The body of the woman was taken to Nakuru County mortuary.
