FG joins Ogun Govt, Private sector to flag off massive forestation initiative

Tropical Wood Exporters in Nigeria have embarked on a massive forestation initiative with a view to arresting the menace of deforestation.
The wood exporters say that the drive is a collaboration with government at ensuring that the country’s forest resource is not depleted.

The group flagged off its afforestation project in Ogun State, following the acquisition of over 1,000 hectares of land for tree planting.

They worry that the country’s economy would be affected when the environment is threatened. Hence the call for all Nigerians to help in the sustenance and preservation of the environment.
