Senate orders police to arrest perpetrators of jungle justice

The Nigerian Senate has kicked against the ongoing jungle justice and mob actions against persons by their fellow citizens in parts of the country and has now asked the police to arrest and prosecute perpetrators of such inhuman actions.
The resolution followed a motion moved by the Senator representing Lagos East, Senator Olugbenga Ashafa over the alleged mob action against a child in a Lagos suburb.

The Senate also asked Attorneys General in various states to team up with security agencies to hasten the dispensing of justice so as to prevent Nigerians from taking laws into their hands.
