Ogun workers suspend 10-day industrial action

A ten-hour negotiation between the national leadership of the Nigeria labour Congress, Trade Union Congress and the Ogun State
government have forced the Unions to suspend their two weeks old strike.

The pronouncement was made by the Chairman of the Joint Negotiating Council in Ogun state, Abiodun Olakanmi, who read out the content of the document signed.

The National President of NLC, Ayuba Waba said he believes that the relationship between workers and the government will
continue to be cordial.

On his part, the governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun assures workers that the government will keep its own side of the agreement.
