The Ondo state Commissioner of Police, Hilda Ibifuro- Harrison has called for better synergy between police and traditional rulers to curb criminal activities and other vices.
Harrison who made the call at a programme tagged “Eminent People’ s Forum”, stressed the need to work with relevant stakeholders to reduce the crime rate in the state.
The Eminent Peoples Forum is the bran-child of the inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris in August 2016 with the aim of bringing stakeholders together to fight crimes.
The police boss added that security should be a collective effort of all Nigerians and should not be left alone for security agencies.
He noted that the command would not allow people of the state to be intimidated and harassed by politicians.
Other prominent Citizens of the state including traditional Rulers lauded the initiative.
