The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission has announced the final results of the election conducted in the 20 local government and 37 local council development areas of the state.
Out of the seventeen political parties that participated in the election, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) cleared all the 20 Local government areas and 37 LCDAs.
APC also won 346 out of the 349 wards in the state, while UPN won 2 and PDP 1.
While reacting to the outcome of the election, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in the South West condemned the conduct of the exercise and called for cancellation of the result.
But in a swift reaction , Chairmen of eleven political parties under the aegis of Inter Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), Ogun State commended the electoral body for its smooth conduct of the election.
They unanimously agreed on the outcome and urged their members to support the winners in ensuring grassroots development across the state.
