The reintroduced Gender and Equal Opportunities (GEO) Bill has passed second reading in the Senate and is now set for public hearing.
The bill which seeks to promote the rights of women in the Nigerian society was reintroduced for its First Reading on June 15th, 2016, after a previous version was shot down in March.
