Another fake Wizkid agent dupes Australian promoter, management reacts

An Australian promoter has fallen victim of yet another fraudster impersonating Wizkid’s management.

The unsuspecting promoter has also gone ahead to pay $5,000 (N1m) as part of the agreed sum to the fake agents who claimed to represent the pop star for a scheduled Australian tour.

The promoter became worried when he couldn’t reach the impersonators again, and when it also became obvious the artiste will not be available for the planned tour.

He however made more enquiries and eventually got through to the Sunday Are-led List Entertainment, the real management company for Wizkid before it dawned on him that he has been duped.

The bitter complaints about this development from Wizkid’s management company however got the attention of the media again, warning the general public for the umpteenth time to stop dealing with fraudsters parading themselves to be representing Wizkid.
