Misappropriation: Ad Hoc committee to investigate PPMC

House of Reps in rowdy session

An ad-hoc committee is to investigate the five billion naira debt allegedly owed the Petroleum Products Marketing Corporation, PPMC, by some independent marketers.

The House of Representatives took the decision after a motion by Jarigbe Jarigbe, on the need to probe the alleged financial misappropriation of the oil fund.

Jarigbe alleges there is a connivance by PPMC officials to leave government funds in the hands of marketers at a time the country is in recession.
