Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan collapses in Adamawa state

Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, yesterday reportedly collapsed while speaking to some Internally Displaced Women at a camp in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Alhassan who recently had a knee surgery in the US and presently walks with the aid of crutches, collapsed while speaking to women alleged to be victims of sexual molestation in the IDP camp. Alhassan was revived with a bottle of soft drink.

According to some of her aides, she has been diagnosed with low sugar which causes her to be weak. Alhassan later told journalists at the camp that her fact finding mission to the camps in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno state tend to confirm the allegation made by a foreign NGO that some of the women and girls in various IDP camps were being sexual molested.
