Nigerian celebrities rise against sexual violence

Some Nigerian celebrities have teamed up to create awareness about the rape culture which has become a menace in the Nigerian society.

At a campaign forum tagged Nollywood against sexual violence held today in Lagos, the celebrities, said that there was need to change the narrative of sexual violence using music and movies.

Convener of the campaign Abimbola Idris say celebrities with their songs and films will play a vital role in stopping the rape culture in Nigeria.

They want the Nigerian government to institute laws and policies that protect vulnerable persons against sexual violence.
