Plans for the coronation party are afoot in Bauchi where Wikki Tourists, the city’s club has whetted the enthusiasm of their fans for a first Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title. It has been a near fairy tale run since the club returned to the NPFL in the 2014/15 season, finishing in the top five in their first outing and now in strong running for the 2015/16 season which has just six games to conclude.
Harrison Chimezie Madu is one of the players that has been at the heart of the push for honours for the Savannah Elephants and he is emphatic that only the title will be sufficient for their efforts.
Madu is very upbeat about Wikki Tourists chances of lifting the trophy and has hinged this exuberant confidence in the quality of shift that the players are contributing to complement the technical inputs of Maikaba. He says their inclination to dominate ball possession is a major plank of their success and which has seen the club conceding the least goals (21) from 30 games and enjoying a hefty goals difference of plus 21.
