13-year-old rapper Lil Poopy signs a 4-year deal with Epic/Sony Records

13-year-old rapper, Lil Poopy just signed a new record deal with Epic Records.

According to the reports :

The Brockton, Massachusetts, native who was born Luis Rivera Jr,  just signed a four-year deal with Epic/Sony Records on Friday.

The teenage rapper called it ‘a major breaking point’ as he pursues his hip hop dreams.

‘All of the older people – older friends – always underestimated me,’ Lil Poopy said. ‘They like me now. … I just want them to know that I’m coming for the top. They better be ready.’

Poopy who has been rapping for years, releasing his first song, “Ima Cokeboy,” in 2012 when he was just 9 years old. The music video for his single showed Lil Poopy dancing with scantily clad women and kissing fistfuls of cash while calling himself a “cocaine cowboy.”

The lyrics and videos released from it alarmed some people to the point that a child abuse investigation was launched against his father, Luis Rivera Sr.

After a couple years of flying below the radar, Poopy popped back up as a cast member of the Lifetime channel’s ‘The Rap Game’, which featured Jermaine Dupri looking for the next young rap star.

Poopy was favoured to win the competition but came in second place behind Miss Mulato.
